The houseboat features a large master bedroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a separate alcove next to it with a bunk bed, which can also be converted into extra storage space, a spacious living area with an open kitchen and a pellet stove, a very large front deck, and a large rooftop terrace with a beautiful staircase leading up from the rear of the boat. The boat comes fully furnished with high-quality furnishings, as shown in the photos, and is ready for use. Almost all of the large windows are sliding doors and can be opened.
Surla Houseboats are designed as off-grid, sustainable, and very comfortable houseboats. The boat was built in the Netherlands and finished by the renowned houseboat builder Gielissen Shipyard in Helmond.
With this Surla, you can sail self-sufficiently (no boating license required), allowing you to enjoy your freedom and the beautiful natural surroundings anywhere without frequently needing shore power or water; there are safe gangways all around the boat.
The base consists of a galvanized steel frame. It features catamaran floats (HDPE) and a storage compartment where you can store plenty of belongings. (8 meters by 2 meters, 1 meter deep) The houseboat has a living area of over 35 m²and features a spacious rooftop terrace.
Natural materials have been used extensively. As a result, the design—with its abundant use of wood—blends beautifully into the natural surroundings.
Sustainability and self-sufficiency are achieved, among other things, through:
- A watermaker that filters natural water into drinking water.
- Greywater is treated via the IBA system with three compartments: the first for separating grease and soap residues; the second tank is aerated with 600L of air per hour, which, together with bacteria, ensures purification. The third tank filters out all remaining impurities and discharges the water cleanly into surface water. This process is entirely biological and requires minimal maintenance
- 4 solar panels, each rated at 400 watts, with a Victron Multiplus inverter
- Lithium battery pack

The houseboat is durable in both construction and use: Only durable materials were used in its construction and manufactured using the most advanced techniques. When the weather is sunny, it is possible to recreate on the water without the use of utilities from April to October. Connection to electricity or clean drinking water is then not necessary.
