FOR SALE SAILING SHIP EQUINOX

Just returned from a year and a half trip.

Due to changed plans of the owner, this beautiful sturdy ship is for sale.

This sailing ship was built in 1972 in England. At shipyard Ryton on Tyne.

Commissioned by a Dutchman who wanted the ship for expeditions around Cape Horn.

With an ice reinforced hull.

Designer was the Amsterdam naval architect ....

The ship was built of Corten steel with a stainless steel sea rail. Pilot house and light intimation.

Completely refitted in the 1989 and given the look she has now.

The Equinox is steered with a hydraulic system to which the autopilot is also connected. There is a possibility to steer inside the pilot house. There is also a possibility to turn off the hydraulics and steer with a tiller as emergency steering. Also, the wind pilot can be used as emergency steering.

Because of the many prisms in the deck, there is always plenty of daylight inside.

The boat has a beautiful look and gets many thumbs up.

In 2018, we bought the boat and gave her a complete overhaul. The ship is completely ready for the departing person who likes a tough steel ship and who wants to make far away trips with the Equinox.

A ship with lots of space and certainly suitable for living with a good central heating and very well insulated.
