How wonderful to be able to step aboard such hidden gems, it's just right.... The owners sell the ship with pain in their hearts (because of age), 40 years they have been owners of this Gib'sea 30 from 1976 with an overhauled engine (2008) and a set of sails of 3 years old. Full of pride Mrs. shows her sail service, neatly stored in the cozy little kitchen. And yes, the crockery stays on board and not only the crockery, more sailing related items stay on board, after all they belong to the ship as she herself says.
The designer M. Joubert designed this sailing ship as a (then) fast cruiser a stable and rigid design with fin keel. A total of 138 were built and it is safe to say they are still favorites.
For vessels from 1985 and younger, the seller must be able to prove that VAT has been paid. Vessels from 1984 and older are exempt from VAT.
