Surla Houseboats are designed as off-grid, sustainable, and very comfortable houseboats. The boat was built in the Netherlands. The listed price is for a fully seaworthy vessel with many options.
With this Surla, you can cruise self-sufficiently (no boating license required), allowing you to enjoy your freedom and the beautiful natural surroundings anywhere without frequently needing shore power or water.
There is a surprising amount of space and comfort on this houseboat, thanks to its smart layout, spacious superstructure, large sliding doors, and lovely outdoor areas, including a large rooftop terrace. The exterior cladding is made of plastic.
The base consists of a galvanized steel frame. It is equipped with catamaran floats (HDPE) and a storage compartment underneath where plenty of items can be stored. The houseboat has a living area of over 51 m²and features a spacious 24 m² rooftop terrace.
Natural materials have been used extensively. As a result, the design—with its abundant use of wood—blends beautifully into the natural surroundings, as you can see in the photos.
Sustainability and self-sufficiency are achieved through, among other things:
- A watermaker that filters water from natural sources into drinking water.
- The toilet is a dry toilet, and nothing harmful is discharged into the environment.
- Wastewater is treated via the IBA system with three compartments: the first separates grease and soap residues; the second tank is aerated with 600L of air per hour, and together with bacteria, this ensures purification. The third tank filters out all remaining impurities and discharges the water cleanly into surface water. This process is entirely biological and requires minimal maintenance
- 12 solar panels, each rated at 400 watts, with a Victron Multiplus inverter
- 8 kW peak power battery pack.

From the living room with open kitchen, you have a beautiful view of the water through three large sliding glass doors. A gangway approximately 50 cm wide runs around the houseboat. At the front is a 14 m² terrace, and at the rear, there is a staircase leading to the rooftop terrace. The open kitchen is fully equipped and is part of the living area, which offers a beautiful, unobstructed view.
