The CORABIA is a completely refurbished classic cruiser/racer. The beautiful classic lines and long overhangs will appeal to many a sailor. We are looking for a new owner for this ship who will put it back on the water and who can also take over the careful maintenance from the current owner. For this you will get a perfectly maintained ship that has undergone a complete refit in recent years. The Corten steel hull has been completely put in a modern paint system.
History
CORABIA was built in 1957 for Mr. Kars from Rotterdam to participate in the Dutch Admirals Cup races in 1957, 1961 and 1963. After the untimely death of her owner, she was sold to the Royal Navy Yacht Club and was owned there for many years. She continued to participate in many sailing races and won several prizes. In the 1980s and 1990s, during her ownership, she made trips to Scotland, the Faroe Islands and as far away as Iceland. Since 2000, the current owner has had CORABIA professionally restored. After the restoration, she sailed several times to Scandinavia and England. She has also been successful on the classic racing circuit in recent years with again a number of first places.
