Due to new adventures on the path of the owner, there is unfortunately too little time left for sailing and for this reason it was decided to sell the ship.
Seller himself has mainly sailed in Friesland, Drenthe and Overijssel and enjoyed on board all the beauty that Holland has to offer from the water.
Op Hoop Van Zegen is a beautifully lined, handy skûtsje from 1904 with a saddle roof and a spacious interior with a headroom of 1.80 m. In recent years there has been much investment in upgrading the interior. This has resulted in a comfortable and attractive interior equipped with all conveniences.
Layout:
Upon entering the cabin, there is a kitchen on BB equipped with a 4-burner stove, refrigerator, hot and cold water and followed by a cozy sitting area with corner sofa and plenty of storage space. A Kabola central heating boiler was installed in 2023, allowing you to enjoy warm indoors on the water even on colder days.
Behind the seating area is a large, comfortable bed of 220 x 180 cm. This is separated from the seating area by light in-between curtains. These provide a combination of privacy and a fine, natural light. By opening the in-between curtains, the bedroom-relax area is incorporated into the sitting area. A wonderful place for reading a book. The rotating television makes watching TV possible from the sitting area as well as from the bed.
Behind the sleeping area is a compact but practical shower room with toilet and design radiator. The shower has a hard jet of water through the hydrophore pump and the toilet can be flushed with a hand pump.
Behind the "crawl door" is the fore cabin with again 2 beds, One double bed and one single bed. Unique are the two still authentic bedsteads (suitable for small children).
The Hoop Van Zegen is 16.5 meters long and in order to sail it, a license 1 is required. The skûtsje is easy to operate, sails beautifully and vibration-free with a cruising speed of 1200 rpm and 8 km per hour.
The solar panels together 250 watts in combination with two on-board batteries and the starter battery make this boat also ideal for comfortable outdoor sailing.
The skûtsje has always been well maintained. The exterior was given a new paint in June 2024. There is no mast and rigging with the skûtsje, but the attachment points for this are still present.
