Description Vollenhovense Bol 850

Really a very beautiful Sphere restored with much love. Most of the work was done in 2023. Nice bright interior and professionally painted exterior. A clean engine room with a 36 hp Farymann.

Originally the type was developed by the shipbuilder Kroese in Vollenhove, who was looking for something for his customers that was halfway between the visaken as used on the inland waters around this Zuiderzee town and the somewhat larger botters and the then "new" Lemsteraken that sailed the outside waters. We write about the year 1900. In his design Kroese did not yet have a yacht in mind but a fishing vessel, or another ship with which a living had to be earned in a commercial manner.
