One of the last sailing authentic wooden Boeiers, built in 1908 and well maintained.
A robust ship, heavily built from 9,000 kg of oak, under rigged and simply executed. The sturdy appearance of this boyer comes from the relatively large width, relatively high head and stern.
Seven continuous skin strakes meet in a substantial fine sheer.
The berth is a ship's house in Sneek, floating in the water, out of the sun.
Because of the counterweight and deck hatches, the mast is easily lowered by 1 person, allowing bridges of only 200 cm to be passed.
The cozy deckhouse gives a dollhouse feel and offers no headroom. Cooking sitting down, sleeping comfortably and literally crawling out of bed in the morning.
An ideal ship for trips, dry landings on the mudflats or just day or weekend spending.
An extensive digital archive available, photo material, bills etc.
Also (historical) documentation available.
Registered in the studbook under category A plaque number 45 and register sailing heritage Netherlands under number 1384.
