Surla Houseboats are designed as off-grid, sustainable and very comfortable houseboats. The boat was built in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The quoted price is for a complete sailable boat with many options.
With this Surla you can sail (self-sufficiently) (no license needed) so you can enjoy your freedom and beautiful nature anywhere without needing shore power or water often.
There is a surprising amount of space and comfort on this houseboat. Because of the clever layout, spacious superstructure, large sliding doors and fine outdoor space including a large roof terrace.
The base consists of a frame of galvanized steel. Equipped with catamaran floats (HDPE) and with a basement box where many things can be stored. The houseboat has a living area of over 51 m²and has a spacious roof terrace of 24 m².
Plenty of natural materials have been used. As a result, the design with lots of wood fits beautifully into nature, as you can see in the pictures.
The photo of the roof is an example of another Surla, which has beautiful decking on the roof. Additional photos are still being taken.
Sustainability and self-sufficiency is achieved by, among other things:
- Water maker which filters water from nature to drinking water.
- The toilet is a dry toilet and nothing harmful is discharged into nature.
- The wastewater is processed through the IBA system with three compartments, the first for grease separation and soap residues, the 2nd tank is aerated with 600L of air per hour, together with bacteria that takes care of cleaning. The 3rd tank filters out all residues and discharges the water clean to surface water. This process is completely biological and requires limited maintenance.
- 12 solar panels of 400 watts each with Victrom Mutiplus inverter
- 8 K watts peak power battery pack .

From the sitting room with open kitchen you have a beautiful view over the water to the outside via three large sliding doors. Around the houseboat there is a gangway of approx. 50 cm wide.
