Nicely executed Kolibri 900 in almost new condition. The weight is about 3,000 kg. of which ballast part 1,400 kg. This gives the ship very good sailing characteristics. Due to a well thought-out layout and construction there is a lot of space and storage:
--4 fixed berths and 2 flexible berths and in the cabin.
--Hull was professionally built in 1984 by the Kolibrie Jachtwerf Van den Brink in Stompwijk in woodcore.
--The current owners then finished the boat themselves very skillfully and thoughtfully with many additions that allow for longer stays.
--All hull parts are covered with epoxy.
--In the 90's she has been used for long trips.
--Then the ship spent 21 years in dry covered storage.
Then from 2018 to the present, the ship has been completely renovated. No expense was spared to bring the ship back to top condition.
--much of the ship's equipment has been replaced and added.
--The engine has been overhauled to new condition.
--The keel has been replaced for a lead-filled stainless steel one.
The wood of the woodcore-epoxy hull and rudder were still in a very good and dry condition so here it was sufficient to reapply a complete new paint system:
--4 new coats of 2 component paint D.D. varnish on the hull.
--2 new layers of D.D. varnish on the cabin roof.
--All varnish: back and superstructure was then removed and now replaced with 7 layers of Epifanes hardwood oil varnish.
--The transom is provided with Epifanes UV resistant varnish
