Description Southerly 115

Southerly 115 – 1992

For sale: a 1992 Southerly 115, built by the renowned British shipyard Northshore Yachts.

The Southerly’s greatest strength is its variable draft. With the swing keel raised, the boat can access areas that are out of reach for many other cabin sailboats. This makes shallow harbors, sheltered anchorages, and other beautiful spots accessible. With the keel fully lowered, the boat has a draft of approximately 2 meters, giving it excellent sailing performance even in deeper waters.

The main point of attention is the sails. They are still perfectly serviceable for sailing at this time. The genoa was recently serviced by the sailmaker, but the sails are now due for replacement.

In addition, the flush valve on one of the toilets is stuck, and there are a few cosmetic improvements that could be made.
