This beautiful classic from 1975 has been owned by her current owners for 25 years, who have always maintained her with great love and care. She is taken out of the water and ashore every winter so that she receives the care she deserves, even below the waterline.
And it shows.
The Spirit 28 was designed by the renowned Dutch yacht designer E.G. van de Stadt. The design combines classic lines with surprisingly sporty sailing characteristics. The Spirit is not only a charming cruiser but also has the character of a cruiser-racer: she’s responsive at the helm and built to be a true pleasure to sail.

Inside, you’re immediately transported to the world of classic sailing. The warm, beautifully maintained wooden interior, the wooden table, the distinctive cabinets, and the abundant woodwork give the cabin a charm you rarely find on modern boats.
The layout features a cozy salon with seating on both sides and a table in the center. The sleeping area is located forward. Thanks to the many windows and portholes, there’s also a surprising amount of light inside.
Presentation
For vessels from 1985 and younger, the seller must be able to prove that VAT has been paid. Vessels from 1984 and older are exempt from VAT.

Wonderful Sailing
The Spirit 28 is a true sailor’s boat: stable, true to course, and yet wonderfully lively. It responds beautifully to the helm and feels reliable and comfortable even in stronger winds. A great combination of sporty sailing and relaxed cruising.

The showpiece: a 2024 Volvo Penta engine with a mere 20 operating hours!
The reverse gear, inner gear, outer bearing, propeller shaft, and exhaust were all replaced in 2024 by a Volvo Penta dealer.
Electrical system: Wiring through the mast was replaced in 2015.
